Lent
Much like Advent, Lent is a season of preparation. During Lent, we focus on Jesus' death and resurrection and are reminded of how Easter has changed everything for us. Lent is a way for us to rearrange our lives to live in light of Jesus' death and resurrection.
You may choose to refrain from something or add a discipline into your weeks leading up to Easter. Whether you decrease or increase this Lent season, may this be a time of growth and deeper connection with God and others.
Lent starts on Ash Wednesday (February 14, 2024) and continues until Easter. Many lent devotionals will include readings and reflections for 40 days as Sundays are typically days of celebration and not fasting. 40 days also alludes to Jesus' 40 days in the desert.
